Oct 06, 2010 Evidently the H2-IPS panel at the heart of HP's ZR30W is a little more efficient than earlier panel technologies – we've seen other 30in monitors draw nearer 100W at similar brightness settings. I agree but I have to say a few things about this particular monitor (ZR30W): 1) The factory calibration is pretty good. 2) HP customer service is just great (I opened a couple of tickets asking them for.very. technical things and they answered promptly and thoroughly.

Hello,
I have HP ZR30W monitor (30 inch) . As you know this model lacks on-screen menu.
1) I've read that all of the monitor parameters can be set within display card's settings. Do they mean Brightness and Constrast and all the other parameters typically found in on-screen menu? What program should I install and use for that purpose?
2) I'm going to calibrate the monitor. What settings (eg. for brightness) should I use (I don't have a menu so how to set the brightness precisely)? Is there any tutorial?
The monitor is connected through DisplayPort.
